This year entries will again be ONLINE ONLY (link will appear below in due course) or via the Results Base Website directly. The race start time has now been confirmed at 3PM on Saturday 9th June.
Entries for 2018 are again limited to one per person. There will be NO option to add an additional runner from your Results Base profile. If you would like to enter additional runners you must open a separate browser and separate profile and join both pages in the queue.
The entry fee for 2018 remains at £25.00. Members of running clubs affiliated to UK Athletics will benefit from a discount of £2.00 as per UKA rules (you will be asked to state your club name and UKA affiliation number during the entry process the system will NOT let you progress without entering the affiliation number SPECIFIC to your name). You will not be able to progress entering a false number or the number of a fellow athlete. If you have recently joined a club and do not yet know your affiliation number please speak to your club secretary or the relevant person within your club.
A limited number of entries will be available from 7PM on 12th February for runners affiliated to England Athletics only (club runners only). Entries will remain open until the limit is reached. Entries will open at 7PM on 13th February to all runners and will also be closed once the limit has been reached. We anticipate that online entries will be fully taken by the end of the general opening day.
Runners will receive their t-shirt at the end of the race. The t-shirt size chosen at the point of entry will be printed on your bib number. You will be given a t-shirt in the corresponding size with NO OPTION TO CHANGE, please choose wisely during the entry process!!! Sizes XS and XXL are available again this year.
Runners will have the option to receive an SMS text message with their race time immediately after crossing the finish line (if this is requested at the point of entry). These services will be provided by Results Base.
The race has a limited number of entries, once this limit has been reached we cannot accept any more and the online system will close. The limit, set in consultation with police and the local authorities, applies to the number of entries, not the number of runners. We are not permitted to allocate extra places when people drop out before the race. As we are not asking for an increase in the field this year there will not be a reserve list.
Finally, we emphasise that the Blaydon Race is a serious road race run under UK Athletics rules and not a sponsored walk: we will not accept entries from people who intend to walk.
